There is evidence and testimony proving Ed Kie did not commit what he was charged with, and this evidence and testimony was not displayed in his trial.

He did not receive proper legal defense in his trial.

Arguably, some events in his trial may have been against due process.

In a country that has become so well known for it’s freedom, its hard to imagine what else this “freedom” might entail. While freedom of speech allows us to speak our mind we must also realize that with the countries vast freedom there is also much injustice. My father is just one example of the thousands of peoples that are wrongfully accused and sentenced each year. The difference with my father is his innocence would be proven if someone in the beginning or even now would look at the facts and realize that the only thing Ed Kie is guilty of is having faith. He had enough faith to love every living creature, enough faith to get through hard times with marriage and family, but most of all he had faith that our judicial system would see the truth and set him free like he deserved. He was wrong. Despite all this, as he sits in prison today, he still has faith and uses his faith to guide those in prison with him to be better peoples once they are released. Having said all this I hope you will take the time to read further and hear the facts of his case for yourself . You can then decided for yourself if an innocent loving man such as Ed Kie has deserved the treatment from this country that he has received. Thank you for your time.
